Symptoms of a PMT

Most commonly present with palpitations

Prolonged/persistent PMTs can result in tachycardia induced cardiomyopathy and heart failure symptoms

With current device algorithms, occurrence of sustained PMTs is very low.

If someone is having excessive amounts of PMT, there heart rate histograms will show increased heart rates for longer amounts of time
