Syncope

Indications

Class I

•high-risk patients where complete evaluation did not demonstrate a cause of syncope (A)

•Early evaluation phase of recurrent syncope where

-No need for immediate action/hospitilisation (A)

-There is likely to be a recurrence in device battery longevity (A)

Class IIa

•Infrequent severe symptoms, where bradycardia or ventricular arrhythmias are suspected (B)


Class IIb

•transient LOC of uncertain syncopal origin in order to definitely exclude an arrhythmic mechanism (C)

Indications

Class I

•Undocumented, recurrent palpitations (symptom interval <4 weeks apart) (B)


Class IIa

•Undocumented, infrequent severe symptoms (B)
