Class I

•Evidence/general agreement that device implant is beneficial, useful & effective

•Conflicting evidence/divergence of opinion, with the weight of evidence in favor of usefulness or efficacy of device implant

Class IIb

•Conflicting evidence/divergence of opinion, & the usefulness or efficacy of device implant is less established

​

Class III

•Evidence/general agreement that device implant is not useful & effective & may even be harmful. Contraindicated.
