MR compatibility of both ILRs & PPMs: Welcome
Abbott
If a patient has a St Jude MRI compatible loop & a MRI compatible device (of any brand) they can have an MRI
MR compatibility of both ILRs & PPMs: Welcome
Biotronik
If a patient has a Biotronik MRI compatible loop they can only have a MRI with a MRI compatible Biotronik device
•The 2 devices must be at least 4cm apart
If a patient has a Biotronik MRI compatible loop they cannot have a MRI with a MRI compatible device of any other brand other than Biotronik

Medtronic
If a patient has a Medtronic MRI compatible loop & a MRI compatible device (of any brand) they can have an MRI
To note; it is not recommended to do MRIs on patients where the loop recorder battery is dead (not done in trials)*
